Tracy Tian is the Director of Finance and Accounting at Democracy International (DI).Ms. Tian leads home and field office financial operations, accounting, and reporting. With more than 15 years of experience in U.S. government contract accounting and corporate finance, she is dedicated to maintaining compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other government regulatory standards. Her expertise encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including general ledger, payroll processing, billing, cash flow projection, financial reporting, budgeting, external audit, account analysis and reconciliation, and more. Her dedication to maintaining compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards, along with her proficiency in a wide range of accounting responsibilities, ensures the integrity of the company’s financial statements. In addition to her role at DI, she has previous experience with both government contractor and commercial clients.

Ms. Tian is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed by the Virginia Board of Accountancy. She holds a MSc in Accounting from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Rollins College.
