Steve Snyder

Deputy Director, Program Management - Europe, Asia & the Middle East

Steve Snyder is the Deputy Director of Program Management for Democracy International’s Europe, Asia, and Middle East programs. He has more than 14 years of program management experience in the fields of peace, conflict, and stabilization (PCS) as well as economic growth and health. Prior to joining DI, Mr. Snyder served as a Senior Program Manager at The Kaizen Company where he managed the Office of Transition Initiative (OTI) portfolio for Programs and Support. He also led the PCS working group at Kaizen managing awards in Niger and Sudan. Mr. Snyder also has extensive experience in the information and communications technology for development (ict4d) space having worked to develop open source and custom mobile and desktop solutions for a range of implementing partners.

Mr. Snyder received his Bachelors of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University (2007) and his Masters of Science in Development Studies (2008) from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has a working proficiency in French and Spanish and basic Arabic.
