Nicholas “Coty” Novak is a Strategy and Design Specialist II at Democracy International (DI). Before his time with DI, Mr. Novak worked extensively to promote human rights and responsive governance through a two-year stint as Development and Events Coordinator at PEN America, as well as through internships with the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, the National Endowment for Democracy, Democracy Fund, the Prospect Hill Foundation, Human Rights Foundation, and the U.S. House of Representatives.

Mr. Novak holds a Master of Arts in Democracy and Governance from Georgetown University, which he obtained in May 2022. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from New York University
