Matthew Modlin
Matthew Modlin is a Strategy and Design Assistant at Democracy International (DI), having previously worked as a Graduate Intern with the Strategy and Design team. Prior to joining DI, Mr. Modlin worked as a Data Analyst at Save the Children U.S., as a Development Data Administrator for The Asia Foundation in San Francisco, and also interned at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency on the Global Programs team in D.C. Mr. Modlin fervently believes in the power of technology to not only transform international development initiatives but also to uplift and empower local leadership and perspectives.
Mr. Modlin is currently pursuing a MA in International Development at American University, and is seeking to focus his studies on exploring the intersection of AI and advanced data analytics with international development strategies. Mr. Modlin also holds a BA in International Relations from Roanoke College, having spent a year in Japan at Kansai Gaidai University.
