Katy James
Katherine (Katy) is a Program Officer providing operational and programmatic support for the Justice, Rights and Security (JURIS) Rapid Response Assistance Activity. Prior to joining DI, she worked as a researcher and project manager in the international development and humanitarian field, conducting and managing field research projects for clients such as the World Bank, IOM, UNHCR, and the EU in Afghanistan, Ghana, Nigeria, Iraq, and the Great Lakes region. She has also worked with migrants and refugees in several contexts, which include developing and implementing informal education initiatives for refugees in Serbia and working on labor migrant abuse in Cyprus.
She has an MA in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action from the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) at Sciences Po Paris and a BA in Government from Wesleyan University. She is bilingual in English and French.
