Gyasi Gomez
Gyasi is a Contract and Compliance Officer at Democracy International. Prior to joining DI, Ms. Gomez held a diverse range of roles. Notably, she worked at Appen, an AI company, managing subcontracts and supporting new business. Ms. Gomez also worked at USAID for the Office of Population and Reproductive Health, where she provided programmatic and compliance support to multi-year global health cooperative agreement through Southeast Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Ms. Gomez is a proud resident of the City of District Heights, Maryland and was elected as Commissioner, Ward 2 in May 2023. She is a member of the Maryland Municipal League Engagement and Outreach Committee, the Prince George’s County Municipal Association, and volunteers at the Frederick Douglass House in historic Anacostia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Loyola University New Orleans and Masters of Science in International Social Welfare and Health Policy from Oslo Metropolitan University.
