Emily Knowles-Crane
Emily Knowles-Crane is a Program Management Officer at Democracy International, supporting the Performance Accountability Activity in Ghana and the Citizens Observing Democratic Elections program in Guinea.
Ms. Knowles-Crane brings over seven years of experience working on social inclusion and human development topics, supporting youth employment programs in the Middle East and North Africa, and serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ghana, working with agricultural extension partners for livelihood resilience and nutrition programming. Before joining DI, she coordinated education research evaluating USAID-funded early-grade reading activities. Ms. Knowles-Crane values the collaborative process of building just and inclusive societies as inseparable from the outcomes it creates.
Ms. Knowles-Crane earned her MA in International Relations from Syracuse University with an exchange with Sciences Po Paris and holds a BA in International Relations and French from Roanoke College. She speaks advanced French.
