On March 26, 2007, Democracy International and The Carter Center held a roundtable on “Vote Count Verification Strategies and Techniques” at the Ronald Reagan Trade Center in Washington, D.C. This roundtable brought together more than 30 practitioners, academics, and policy makers for a day of discussion, debate and sharing experiences. The event was an important opportunity for donors, policy makers and members of the professional election monitoring community to come together and discuss vote count verification (VCV) issues and techniques.
