Project Description
The USAID-funded Unity through Diversity activity, implemented by the United Nations Association of Georgia (UNA-G) with support from Democracy International (DI), is a five-year program that works to better integrate ethnic and religious minorities into wider Georgian social, political, and economic life to create a more socially cohesive and accepting environment necessary for democracy to function. The activity will achieve its purpose through two integrated and mutually reinforcing objectives:
1. Increase participation of ethnic and religious minorities in government policies and services.
2. Expand and strengthen mutually beneficial socio-economic linkages between majority and minority communities.
DI provides technical and analytical support to the activity such as assistance with political economy assessments; social and behavioral change; and general monitoring, evaluation, and learning processes and tasks.
