Project Description

In 2010 Democracy International teamed with The Carter Center to provide advice to civil society organizations in Sudan on domestic election monitoring issues. DI trained local civil society organizations (CSOs) on vote count verification and other quantitative election monitoring methods to assist them monitor elections for President and National Assembly in April. The CSOs and the Carter Center issued an election observation report criticizing the process for failing to meet international standards.
