Project Description
Democracy International’s multi-year Protection, Inclusion, and Empowerment activity, funded by USAID, aims to support disadvantaged and marginalized populations in Armenia through needed legal-regulatory framework changes, improved services, and intensified cooperation between the government, civil society organizations, and the private sector to address the needs of vulnerable populations.
DI provides technical assistance, analytical services, and evidence-based approaches to support inclusion, protection, and empowerment policy and legislative reform; improve inclusion, protection, and empowerment services for vulnerable and marginalized populations; enhance protection and inclusion of those affected by instability and violent hostilities or conflict; enhance the Government of Armenia and key stakeholder’s capacity to implement effective outreach, communications, and research regarding social sector policy and services; and support for adaptive social protection to address the impacts of global and domestic crises such as COVID-19, war, conflict, and food insecurity.
