Myanmar World Learning Civic Engagement Teaching and Curriculum Design

Working with World Learning, Democracy International designed curricula and taught courses at the American Center in Myanmar (Burma), including courses on federalism, advocacy, pluralism, comparative democratic transitions, and strategic communication. In 2013, on behalf of World Learning, DI President Eric Bjornlund served as Scholar in Residence and Teacher at the Institute for Civic and Political Engagement (iPACE). He designed curricula, mentored local trainers, and served as lead teacher for 10-week courses on advocacy in democracy and on federalism for Burmese civic leaders and political activists.
