Project Description
In 2014 Democracy International conducted a situational assessment in Jordan. The assessment sought to identify drivers of conflict that could threaten the development of a more democratic, progressive, peaceful and resilient society in Jordan, and built on the Northern Rapid Assessment that USAID conducted in September 2012. Using USAID’s Conflict Assessment Framework 2.0, the assessment identified gaps in programming that represented opportunities to prevent and/or mitigate conflict in Jordan while also informing USAID/Jordan of potential programmatic adjustments to sector projects which could mitigate potential conflict in the future and/or avoid exacerbating existing tensions.
