Project Description
DI is providing specialized civic education, curriculum measurement, and teacher appraisal technical expertise to Pact Inc. as part of its USAID/Ukraine-funded ENGAGE program. ENGAGE seeks to enhance civic education by raising awareness among citizens of their civic rights and responsibilities providing them with the tools and opportunities to become more active citizens. Working with the Ministry of Education and Science, teachers’ training institutions, and ENGAGE experts, DI is helping design the system of measurement for further certification of civic education teachers; assisting with the development of civic education curriculum for Ukrainian teachers’ training; and supporting ENGAGE, MOES, and teachers’ training institutions to pilot the curriculum and measurement system for civics teachers’ mandatory certification.
