Project Description

In 2010, Democracy International conducted an analysis of why some elections facilitate democratic consolidation while others end in fraud and violence, focusing on two case studies in Africa — Ghana and Kenya — which both faced similar challenges surrounding 2007 and 2008 elections, but which resulted in widely divergent outcomes.
