Washington, DC– On Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 1:00 pm, Democracy International (DI) president Eric Bjornlund will testify before the House Subcommittee on the Middle East and North Africa on the findings of DI’s elections observation missions 2013-2015. The hearing, entitled “Egypt Two Years After Morsi (Part Two)” will take place in Room 2172 of the Rayburn House Office Building and will be webcast here.

Egypt recently completed parliamentary elections, marking the conclusion of the “roadmap” to democracy. Mr. Bjornlund will offer insights learned from these elections, as well as from the  prior referendum and presidential election, and will discuss their implications on the future of human rights and open, accountable politics in Egypt.
