Kelsey Allagood is a Senior Program Officer for Strategy & Outreach at Democracy International. In this role, she manages and supports program design and proposal development, with a particular emphasis on peace and resilience strengthening, countering violent extremism, elections support, political processes, and political party development, among others. She is also the Assignments Editor of DI’s blog and oversees communications for DI, including social media management and newsletter publication. Prior to her work at DI, Ms. Allagood was the Manager of Foundation Programs at the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation where she led a wide range of development efforts, including donor outreach, fundraising, scholarship distribution and tracking, and alumni stewardship. In this role, she coordinated nine scholarship programs worth more than $725,000.
Ms. Allagood received her M.A. in Conflict Resolution from Georgetown University, where she graduated with high honors, and her B.A. magna cum laude in International and Cultural Studies from the University of Tampa.
