Jessica Sysak is a Manager, Human Resources, for Democracy International. She oversees recruitment, benefits, performance management, and other HR areas. Before joining DI, MS. Sysak was employed at Catholic Relief Services (CRS) for six years in their Human Resources department. She started as the Program Officer for the International Development Fellows Program and Internships and transitioned to Employee Services Manager overseeing HR operational and engagement functions. Prior to CRS, she managed student exchange programs for high school students from Japan and Eurasian countries for a non-profit in Seattle, Washington. Ms. Sysak also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Armenia, where she taught English as a Foreign Language and coordinated teacher training seminars. In addition, she has five years of experience in publicity and fundraising for the University of Michigan.
