Grant Kouri
Grant Kouri is a Contracts and Compliance Manager at Democracy International (DI), bringing over 17 years of expertise in international development, public health, and humanitarian operations. His focus areas of work include procurement, logistics, risk management, and process improvement, with a special emphasis on donor-funded projects.
Before joining DI, Mr. Kouri served as the Director of Operations for CARE’s NW Syria office, where he led operational support for a $100M humanitarian aid program in response to the Syrian War. He also previously worked as a Category Manager for the Partnership for Supply Chain Management in the Netherlands, managing a $200M supply chain for rapid diagnostics related to HIV, Malaria, and COVID-19 diagnosis and treatment in 62 countries for The Global Fund. His extensive field experience spans Gaza, Mali, Haiti, Guinea, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Timor-Leste, and he also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Kingdom of Tonga.
Mr. Kouri holds a master’s degree in International Administration from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. He is also certified with a CSCP from the Association for Supply Chain Management and holds a certificate in USAID Assistance Management from Humentum.
