Alice Guilford
Alice Guilford is the Deputy Chief of Party for Democracy International in South Sudan. She previously managed DI’s programs in Bangladesh, South Sudan, Egypt, Lebanon, and Tunisia. Ms. Guilford has more than a decade of experience working on civic engagement, elections and political processes, peacebuilding, and countering violent extremism. Prior to joining DI, she worked in U.S. domestic politics and for community organizations in Lebanon, Tunisia, and Senegal. She has experience supporting research in South Africa and teaching and designing curriculums in Argentina and France.
Ms. Guilford received her M.A. in International Development and International Economics from the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University and her B.A. in International Studies from Trinity College in Hartford, CT. She is proficient in French.
