Alice Guilford is the Deputy Chief of Party for Democracy International in South Sudan. Ms. Guilford was previously a Senior Program Officer and managed DI’s programs in Bangladesh, South Sudan, Egypt and Tunisia. Prior to joining DI, she worked on a domestic political campaign. Ms. Guilford also has experience working with community development organizations Lebanon, Senegal, South Africa, and Tunisia on advocacy, human rights, and education programs.
Ms. Guilford holds an M.A. in International Development and International Economics from the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University where she concentrated in human development and quantitative methods and a B.A. in International Studies from Trinity College in Hartford, CT. She is proficient in French and Arabic.
