Project Description

USAID’s Support to Electoral Integrity, led by Democracy International (DI), aims to strengthen electoral processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) using evidence-based and behaviorally informed interventions to achieve two primary objectives:

  • Electoral Administration Improved: The Support to Electoral Integrity will work with the BiH Central Election Commission to introduce and pilot new voting technologies, enhance their internal capacity for public outreach and internal training, and improve collaboration and communication with stakeholders to increase trust in the electoral system.

  • Civil Oversight of Elections Strengthened: The Support to Electoral Integrity will partner with Pod Lupom, a local coalition of civil society organizations, to support organizational growth, monitor and report on electoral processes over the life of the program, and make timely and salient policy recommendations for reform.

This focused and insight-driven approach aims to enhance transparency, integrity, and public confidence in BiH elections by proactively addressing specific challenges within the electoral system of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
