Project Description

Democracy International conducted a broad assessment of democracy and governance in Moldova and offered strategic recommendations to USAID in 2010. A DI team met with government officials, political parties, civil society groups, journalists, academics, international donors, and DG program implementers in Moldova. The team found problems of consensus and inclusion as the principal areas of concern and developed a strategy to strengthen democratic competition, the rule of law, and the quality of state and national government.
