Project Description
Democracy International’s (DI) USAID-supported Engagement with Voters for Equitable Representation (EVER) Activity in Libya aims to support credible elections and strengthen political processes in Libya by building the capacity of government stakeholders and empowering civil society. This multiyear initiative also focuses on increasing public participation, fostering trust, and promoting social inclusion, with a strong emphasis on conflict sensitivity and sustainability.
In partnership with Libya’s High National Election Commission, national and subnational institutions, civil society, youth leaders, and USAID, EVER champions locally driven solutions to advance electoral participation and democratic momentum, supporting Libya’s transition to a stable democratic state. By consulting with local stakeholders, the program enhances the effectiveness of key institutions and empowers diverse actors to foster an inclusive and resilient democratic culture.
